Susan Hadley-Bulger learned the exacting art of cross-stitch embroidery from her grandmother. Her tiny stitches of single-strand silk thread create band samplers, a traditional English form of needlework. Susan's samplers are family registers - she made one for each of her ten children. Some feature thirty different kinds of stitches, while others have a thread count of 1,600 stitches per square inch!
