Web Site
The rocky headland of Cape Ann has long inspired artists. The area is home to many Finns who came to work in the granite quarries, including Isabel Natti's paternal grandparents. Isabel Natti's linoleum block prints are locally rooted in subject matter and technique. From her father, affiliated with the Folly Cove Designers, Isabel learned the principles of design and a reverence for nature shared by the local Finnish community. Natti's designs depict scenes of life by the sea, ranging from majestic clipper ships to the workaday culture of fishing life.
